Youth is more than often represented as a passive, homogenous group of people. A layer of our society which is the least interested in the processes important for its sustainability and endurance. But we mustn’t talk about the youth as a homogenous group that doesn’t really care about anything, but would rather party all the time, have fun, drink and ignore the problems.
We actually have to talk about but more importantly understand that youth, meaning a group of people between 15 and 30 years of age, is a diverse, nuanced and crucial group for all the changes we want to see in our society.
In this episode of YouthSquad we will talk about the role of youth in important social and political processes, and more importantly how to involve the youngsters that are harder to reach.
I want to welcome my guest Anica, an activist and a young person herself who is involved in processes that aim to change the things she and young people around her don’t particularly like.
