In episode 33, we spoke to Poonam Sagar from Jakarta, Indonesia. She shared with us how early experience of changing hometowns, due to her father’s job, taught her how to adapt, learn new languages and easily find friends.
She told us how she managed to find a niche community and build it, by using email list or word of mouth to grow it, before social media networks.
As a social entrepreneur, she built a company, called “Million Trees”, where she managed, with the help of partners to plant million trees, near Jakarta. Community and social impact of this endeavour has a long term consequences, for good.
She shared with us, what is the state of entrepreneurship in Indonesia, what being a IWEC Foundation Awardee meant to her and how she spent and reorganized her job during pandemic in 2020.
For the end, she sent us a message that everything is possible.
