Steve Troughton-Smith: It seems pretty clear to me, being able to test iPadOS beside macOS, that even with macOS 27 the Liquid Glass UI is never going to look as good as it does on a HDR OLED display. It looks several times glossier and more crisp when I switch my desktop monitor over to HDR (which I never use), and even better still on the iPad’s OLED. This feels like a generational shift as big as the Retina Display, and I think most people are oblivious to it — since no Mac currently comes with a HDR OLED screen.
