Our next guest Matthew Makowski was born in Detroit, Michigan, and now living in Seoul, Korea. Walking the fine line of pursuing music professionally or recreationally has molded his mentality of independence vs. validation. Either way has its own pros and cons but there has only been one constant from either side and that is quitting music is not an option. It always ends up back in his life. Matt says about his “Get to the point” hardcore band: “A difficult to place hardcore band in a sea of easy listening is gradually transforming the preconceptions of „with the grain“ attitudes.”. Matt uses his music not only as an outlet, but as a sanity filter.
